Healing Matrix Offerings

Reiki by Shanti hot yoga

We are all born with the power to heal ourselves. Our bodies are in a constant state of maintaining balance. Reiki is the energy that connects our higher self with everything around us. In the past, our ancestors had an innate wisdom that they used to heal themselves and maintain vitality. Over time, with our focus shifting to external matters, we have lost the ability to clearly see within.

Reiki is a bridge between the ancient traditions of healing and the modern day scientific model. Although Reiki has traditionally been used as a healing system, it is also extremely effective as a way to help individuals increase awareness, insight, wisdom and personal growth.

There are countless case studies and anecdotal research verifying the effects of Reiki sessions. Contentment, relaxation, decreased feelings of stress, fear, and anxiety are common observations from clients following a treatment. A reduction, and, in some cases elimination of physical pain is also commonly experienced.

Reiki is an effective modality of healing for adults, children, and animals.

Ayurveda by Shanti hot yoga

Ayurveda is known as the sister-science of yoga and has been around for thousands of years. It is an ancient philosophy based in Samkhya which believes a healthy being is someone who is healthy in body, mind, and spirit. Through the lens of Ayurveda, a disease is defined as a malfunction in your ability to physically, mentally and/or emotionally process the experiences of your every day; we see a disruption to proper and efficient ingestion, digestion and/or elimination.

As a healing modality, Ayurveda looks at your diet & lifestyle for imbalances that present itself in your life, i.e. sleep patterns, eating habits, social and family life, etc.

When undergoing Ayurvedic consulting, the process is personalized to look at the client’s daily experiences. It is an individualized approach and assessment of your level of health, of how well you take in and process what you need, and let go of what you don’t.

By examining your daily experiences, which include everything you see, taste, touch, smell, feel, and think, you will begin to recognize how your experiences affect or nurture you. Following that, practices and habits that help to keep you feeling and living your best can be determined.

Depending on the individual, your assessment plan can be used seasonally (3-4 months at a time) or longer. Your plan will include dietary guidelines as well as yoga practices to create a more balanced living.

Quantum Healing

Quantum healing by Shanti hot yoga

Quantum healing is a hands-on healing modality that profoundly accelerates the body’s own healing response. The effect can be felt immediately and extraordinarily. You can actually feel the bones in the body realigning themselves with a light touch. Beyond structural realignment, the treatment is very effective at reducing inflammation and bringing balance to the organs, systems, and glands.

The premise of Quantum Healing is entrainment. Entrainment is the process by which things align their movement and energy together to match in rhythm and phase. In Quantum Healing, practitioners learn through breath and meditation techniques to raise the vibration of their hands to a very high frequency. When they place their hands in proximity to someone else who is in pain their client’s body will resonate and entrain to the practitioner’s hands.

Quantum healing promotes the healing response for amazing results in as little as 30 minutes and is effective for adults, children, and animals.

Prana ease by Shanti hot yoga

Prana-Ease is a deeply healing and relaxing experience that focuses on one’s life force or life energy known as prana. From the demands of daily life that can lead to not finding time for oneself which can result in unhealthy habits like lack of exercise and improper nutrition, prana becomes imbalanced and can result in dis-ease in the body and mind.

Whether you are feeling exhausted or overstimulated from the demands of daily life, a Prana-Ease session will help guide your energy back to a state of balance. In this private or couples session, students are guided through various asanas (mainly while lying on their back or stomach) while the instructor applies hands-on adjustments and healing touch to help the student ground and release prana.

Private Yoga Session

Private yoga by Shanti hot yoga

Yoga is a practice that helps you achieve mind-body connection, an internal state of focus and presence. This is a personal process that can leave you with many questions about what you are experiencing, how you are moving, your breathing, the feelings that come up, and so much more! Private yoga sessions are an opportunity for you to get personal, one-on-one instruction from a professional yoga instructor to help gain more confidence and ease in an area that is challenging or if you want more personalized guidance for your practice.

Some things that you can get instruction on in a private session are:

  • proper alignment of your unique body
  • how to manage an injury and still maintain your practice
  • steps to get into more challenging poses that you are interested in
  • working with pranayama (breathing techniques)
  • techniques for meditation

Whatever your need or interest, a private session can help facilitate deeper learning and more understanding. Talk to us about what aspect(s) you are wanting to delve deeper into and we will connect you with the instructor who can best guide your process.

Most of our classes are conducted in a room heated to 85-90 (29-32 Celsius) degrees Fahrenheit with a combined level of humidity so the room is not like a sauna but more like a tropical environment. The heat amplifies certain elements of a yoga practice like detoxification, with more sweat comes release of toxins from the body; the muscles also get warmed up faster thereby allowing ease into postures in which tight muscles may not always find as simple to get into; and activity in the heat does increase breathing and the heart rate so a hot yoga practice has an increased cardiovascular component compared to other styles of yoga. Putting the heat together with yoga postures makes this practice one that focuses on Flexibility, Strength, Endurance, and Focus!

Recognizing that some people don’t like it as hot as others, SHY does have reduced heated classes as well as non-heated classes.
